Perfectly kept dinosaur embryo from 66 million years ago found

For all the dinosaur fans out there, scientists have made an exciting announcement. They have discovered a dinosaur embryo that is exquisitely preserved. Scientists date the embryo as 66 million years old at least. The embryo was just about to hatch from the egg and looks similar to a chicken. Researchers found this fossil of a hatchling dinosaur in southern China’s Ganzhou in the Jiangxi Province. It belongs to a species known as the oviraptorosaur or a kind of theropod dinosaur that did not have any teeth. Researchers have nicknamed the embryo “Baby Yingliang”. The Dinosaur Fossil Was In Storage For Several Decades Ago The dinosaur embryo was one among several fossils of dinosaur eggs that were hidden in storage for several decades. Researchers had got their hands on it in 2000. Image Credits: University of Birmingham | Lida Xing | AFP Researchers working for Yingliang Group, a stone-mining company, suspected a stone sample to contain egg fossils[1]. However, they kept it stored away for about a decade. It was re-discovered only when the Yingliang Stone Natural History Museum began to be built. Upon discovering boxes filled with such fossils, experts began to sort them. China University of Geoscience’s Lida Xing said: “Museum staff identified them as dinosaur eggs and saw some bones on the broken cross-section of one of the eggs.” The team of researchers had scrapped off portions of the eggshell to confirm their suspicion. This is also the reason behind naming the embryo as “Baby Yingliang”. Fossilized eggs of dinosaurs are not exactly rare finds. However, such an immaculate embryo is unprecedented. Researchers stated that this is one of the rarest finds. Details Of The Dinosaur Embryo Baby Yingliang spans 10.6 inches (27 cm) in length from its head to its tail. Its egg has a length of 6.6 inches (17 cm). It is currently residing at the Yingliang Stone Nature History Museum. Researchers suggest that the dinosaur embryo is somewhere between 72 million and 66 million years old. They also believe that a surprise mudslide had buried this egg. As such, scavengers had failed to destroy it for this long. Oviraptorosaurs were dinosaurs that had feathers. Its name means “egg thief lizards”. They were alive during the Late Cretaceous period in present-day North America and Asia. Their diets and beak shapes varied. Their sizes also varied immensely. Some species were as small as modern turkeys, while some were enormous Gigantoraptors, which could be 26 feet (8 m) long. Baby Yingliang would probably have grown to somewhere between 6.5 and 9.8 feet (2 and 3 m) when it reached adulthood. It probably would have been an herbivore. One of the researchers, University of Edinburgh’s Professor Steve Brusatte, called it among the most beautiful fossils he has ever seen. [2] The Significance Of The Fossil Fion Waisum Ma, one of the authors of a paper on the fossil, called it “one of the best dinosaur embryos ever found in history.” Image Credit: University of Birmingham | AFP   The position of the baby is of utmost importance to the researchers. They found that the baby’s head was positioned underneath its body. Furthermore, its back was curled and its feet were on either side of the body. This embryonic posture has never been seen in dinosaur embryos before. However, it is similar to how present-day bird embryos. In today’s birds, the central nervous system of the embryo controls this embryonic positioning. “Tucking” is its name. Chicks that are about to hatch tuck their head beneath their right-wing. This keeps their head stable as they break open the egg using their beak. Embryos that do not tuck are more likely to die following unsuccessful hatching. Ma said that this was a clear indication of the relation between modern birds and dinosaurs: “This indicates that such behavior in modern birds first evolved and originated among their dinosaur ancestors.” Professor Brusatte further explained the connection: “This little prenatal dinosaur looks just like a baby bird curled in its egg, which is yet more evidence that many features characteristic of today’s birds first evolved in their dinosaur ancestors.” However, the dinosaur embryo is yet to be studied in detail. The team of researchers hopes to do that soon using advanced scanning technology. It will unearth a complete picture of the embryo’s skeleton, including the skull.

Ditch Chemical Fertilizers with This Miracle Alternative

A farmer’s unorthodox method of fertilizing his tomato plants has been making waves online. The technique, which involves planting a banana and an egg in the same hole as the tomato seedling, may seem unusual at first, but the results are nothing short of remarkable. The video of the farmer using this method has gone viral, with over 1.2 million views. The process is simple: dig a hole, add a raw egg and a banana still in its shell, and then plant the tomato seedling on top. As the egg and banana break down, they provide essential nutrients for the growing plants. This natural fertilizer is a game-changer for gardeners looking to avoid chemical fertilizers. These artificial fertilizers may boost plant growth and improve appearance, but they can have devastating effects on the soil, vegetables, and fruits. The overuse of chemical fertilizers can “poison” the soil, making it difficult for plants to grow and develop. Furthermore, chemical fertilizers can weaken plants, making them more susceptible to disease and pests. This can lead to a decline in crop quality and flavor. In contrast, natural fertilizers like the egg and banana method promote healthy plant growth without harming the environment. Other natural fertilizers, such as ash, dung, and vegetable waste, can be just as effective and inexpensive. By switching to these eco-friendly alternatives, gardeners can enjoy a bountiful harvest without compromising the health of their plants or the planet. As the world becomes increasingly aware of the importance of sustainable living, it’s heartening to see innovative methods like the egg and banana fertilizer gaining traction. By embracing natural and organic gardening practices, we can create a healthier and more environmentally conscious food system for generations to come.

You Should Never Leave a Charger Plugged Into an Outlet Because Of This If You Want To

Why You Should Unplug Your Phone Charger: The Hidden Risks and Consequences We’ve all done it—unplugging our phone in a hurry, leaving the charger dangling from the wall socket like a forgotten afterthought. If Your Kidneys Are in Danger, the Body Will Show these 10 Signs

Kidney disease is a serious condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It occurs when the kidneys are damaged and are unable to function properly. The kidneys play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of fluids and electrolytes in our bodies, as well as filtering waste products from our blood. Early detection and treatment of kidney disease are vital to prevent further damage and complications. Thankfully, your body does send you signals that there could be something wrong with your kidneys. Learn what they are and listen to your body so that you can receive medical help as soon as possible. Understanding the Role of the Kidneys The kidneys are two small bean-shaped organs located on either side of the spine, just below the ribcage. Their main function is to filter the blood, removing waste products, and excess fluids from the body. The kidneys also help control blood pressure, produce red blood cells, and maintain the balance of electrolytes, such as sodium, potassium, and calcium. When the kidneys are healthy, they filter around 120 to 150 quarts of blood daily, producing about 1 to 2 quarts of urine. What is Kidney Disease? Kidney disease, also known as renal disease, occurs when the kidneys sustain damage and are no longer able to function optimally. There are various causes of kidney disease, including high blood pressure, diabetes, infections, autoimmune disorders, and genetic factors. Over time, kidney disease can progress and lead to kidney failure, requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant. Early detection is critical to prevent further damage and manage the condition effectively. Signs of Kidney Disease One of the hardest parts about kidney disease is that many people don’t catch it until it is already quite advanced. Thankfully, the body does send signs that the kidneys are in trouble. If you notice these, you can go to your healthcare practitioner to hopefully solve the problem before it becomes worse. These are 10 signs your body is telling you that your kidneys are in danger. (2, 3, 4) 1. Changes in Urination One of the earliest signs of kidney disease is changes in urine production. You may notice increased frequency of urination, especially during the night. On the other hand, you may experience decreased urination or foamy urine. 2. Fatigue and Weakness Kidney disease can lead to anemia, a condition characterized by low red blood cell count. This can result in persistent fatigue, weakness, and difficulty concentrating. 3. Swelling Excessive fluid buildup in the body, known as edema, commonly occurs with kidney disease. Swelling can affect the legs, hands, face, and even the abdomen. 4. Persistent Back Pain Kidney disease can cause back pain, usually felt just below the ribcage. The pain may be severe and persistent, often accompanied by tenderness. This will often accompany a urinary tract infection that has gone untreated. 5. Unexplained Weight Loss or Loss of Appetite If you experience unexplained weight loss or a decrease in appetite, it may be a sign of kidney disease. This occurs due to the build-up of waste products in the body and a loss of appetite. 6. Nausea and Vomiting Kidney disease can cause a feeling of nausea and may lead to episodes of vomiting. This can be especially prominent in the morning or after meals. 7. Difficulty Sleeping People with kidney disease often report trouble sleeping. This may be attributed to nighttime muscle cramps, restless leg syndrome, or frequent urination. 8. Metallic Taste in the Mouth A persistent metallic taste in the mouth can be indicative of kidney disease. This is due to the build-up of waste products in the blood. 9. Muscle Cramps and Twitching Electrolyte imbalances, such as low potassium and calcium levels, can cause muscle cramps and twitching. These symptoms may be associated with kidney disease. 10. Itchy Skin Kidney disease can lead to an accumulation of toxins in the blood, causing itchy skin. This is often generalized and not limited to a specific area. It is important to note that these symptoms may vary depending on the stage and severity of kidney disease. If you experience any of these signs, it is essential to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and appropriate management. Prevention is Key There are several things you can do to help keep your kidneys healthy and prevent kidney disease before it happens. The number one is, as always, living a healthy lifestyle. That means eating well, exercising regularly, drinking plenty of water, moderating alcohol consumption, and sleeping well. If you smoke, consider quitting. Be mindful of both prescription and over-the-counter drugs and how you are taking them. Always follow your doctor or pharmacist’s directions, or follow the directions on the bottle. Finally, get your kidneys tested if you are unsure or if you are at a higher risk for developing the disease. Remember, early detection and timely treatment hold the key to preventing kidney disease from progressing and improving overall health outcomes. Don’t wait until it’s too late.

Tips to Help You Detect a Liar Within Seconds

1. Observing Inconsistent Facial Expressions One of the first ways to detect a liar is by paying close attention to their facial expressions. Liars often struggle to maintain consistency between their words and their expressions. For example, a person claiming to be happy might fail to show genuine happiness in their eyes or smile. Microexpressions, fleeting facial expressions that reveal true emotions, can betray a liar even if they attempt to mask their feelings. These inconsistencies often occur because lying requires significant mental effort, and the liar might fail to synchronize their verbal and non-verbal cues effectively. 2. Noticing Unnatural Body Language Liars often exhibit unusual or stiff body language. Pay attention to movements that seem forced, overly controlled, or exaggerated. For instance, a liar might avoid gestures that naturally accompany speech, such as hand movements, or they might overcompensate by making too many gestures. Subtle signs like fidgeting, shifting feet, or unusual postures can indicate nervousness or discomfort, which are often associated with lying. 3. Analyzing Voice and Speech Patterns The tone, pitch, and speed of speech can reveal a lot about a person’s honesty. Liars may speak more quickly or slowly than usual, and their tone might sound forced or unnatural. Additionally, liars might pause frequently, stumble over words, or repeat phrases unnecessarily as they try to fabricate a convincing story. Listening carefully for these speech irregularities can help identify dishonesty. 4. Monitoring Eye Contact Contrary to popular belief, liars don’t always avoid eye contact. In fact, some may overcompensate by maintaining excessive eye contact to appear truthful. Observe whether the individual’s eye contact feels natural or forced. Frequent blinking, looking away at key moments, or staring intensely can all indicate deceptive behavior. Context is crucial in interpreting eye contact, as cultural norms and individual differences can influence these behaviors. 5. Identifying Verbal Inconsistencies Liars often struggle to keep their stories straight. Pay attention to inconsistencies in their narrative, such as conflicting details or sudden changes in the timeline. If someone alters their story when questioned or hesitates before answering, it might suggest they’re fabricating information. Following up with specific, probing questions can reveal these discrepancies. 6. Recognizing Overly Detailed Stories Sometimes, liars provide excessive details to make their story seem more believable. They may include unnecessary information to distract from the main point. However, overly elaborate accounts can raise suspicion. Genuine stories tend to focus on the core events, while fabricated ones might appear unnaturally complex or rehearsed.     7. Watching for Defensive Behavior Liars often become defensive when questioned. They might deflect attention, accuse others, or become overly insistent on their honesty. For example, a liar might respond with anger or frustration when asked for clarification. This reaction can be an attempt to intimidate the questioner and avoid further scrutiny. 8. Spotting Signs of Nervousness Nervous behaviors like sweating, shaking, or breathing heavily can indicate dishonesty. Lying triggers stress, which manifests physically in various ways. While some people naturally exhibit these behaviors due to anxiety or other factors, a sudden onset of nervousness during a specific conversation can be a red flag. 9. Examining Word Choice and Phrasing Liars often use vague or evasive language to avoid committing to specific details. They might overuse qualifiers like “to be honest” or “trust me.” Additionally, liars might distance themselves from the lie by using fewer first-person pronouns like “I” or “my.” Listening carefully to their choice of words can uncover these subtle signs. 10. Paying Attention to Reactions to Evidence When confronted with evidence, liars often react defensively or try to undermine the credibility of the evidence. They might deny obvious facts or attempt to distract from the issue. Honest individuals are more likely to engage with the evidence and provide logical explanations. A liar’s avoidance or hostility can be telling. 11. Testing Their Ability to Recall Details Liars often struggle to remember fabricated details over time. Revisiting the same topic after a while and asking them to recount their story can reveal inconsistencies. For instance, a liar might mix up key details or provide an entirely different version of events. Honest individuals are more likely to recall consistent and coherent details. 12. Observing Reactions to Silence Silence can be an effective tool in detecting lies. Liars often feel compelled to fill the silence by overexplaining or providing unnecessary justifications. By remaining silent after their statement, you can observe how they react. An honest person is more likely to remain calm, while a liar may become visibly uncomfortable. 13. Checking Their Willingness to Repeat Statements Liars may hesitate to repeat their statements verbatim because they fear being caught in a contradiction. Asking them to reiterate their claims can expose inconsistencies. An honest person, on the other hand, will usually have no trouble repeating the same information confidently. 14. Analyzing Emotional Responses Emotions displayed by liars often don’t match the context of their statements. For example, they might smile while describing a serious event. These mismatched emotional responses can indicate insincerity. Observing the alignment between their emotions and words can help identify deceit. 15. Identifying Sudden Behavioral Changes When lying, people might exhibit sudden changes in behavior. A usually calm person might become fidgety, or a talkative person might suddenly become quiet. These shifts can occur because lying disrupts their natural demeanor. Noticing such changes can provide valuable clues. 16. Recognizing Attempts to Shift Focus Liars often try to shift focus away from themselves by changing the subject or redirecting attention to someone else. For example, they might respond to a direct question with a counter-question or unrelated statement. Staying on topic and pressing for direct answers can help uncover the truth. 17. Understanding Their Baseline Behavior Everyone has a unique baseline of behavior, which includes their typical mannerisms, tone of voice, and speech patterns. Observing how someone behaves when they are truthful can help identify deviations when they lie. Compare their current behavior with their baseline to spot inconsistencies that might indicate deception. 18. Considering Context … Read more

Before they showed me, I had no idea what that loop on your shirt was for.

You might have seen a loop in the back of some of your shirts if you’ve ever paid attention to your clothes. Men’s dress shirts often have this loop on them. You might not have known this before, but if you see it, you can use it for something. People often dress casually when they wear a button-down shirt. If you wear it with the right pants and other items, it can look dressy. The back has a small loop for people who spend a lot of time at the gym. It makes it easy to take off the shirt and hang it up, so you don’t have to look for a room or make sure there’s a place to put it before meeting other people somewhere other than home. The loop has also been used to show whether a person is single or in a relationship. If the loop isn’t on the shirt, it means the person is stable and doesn’t need to hang their clothes anywhere else. The loop is just an extra piece of stuff on the back of clothes, so it doesn’t really mean anything anymore. Style in the United States has changed a lot in the last 100 years, and sometimes it’s fun to go down memory lane to learn a bit about the past. Your findings will show that some things have not changed at all. Not just for clothes for guys, this is true. The back-of-the-shirt loop is a small but important piece of information that you may have missed. It’s right there in the middle of the yoke, daring you to take it or use it to spin the shirt around on your finger. A lot of oxford or button-down t-shirts have this stitched on. It’s usually called a “locker loop” or “fairy loop.” How does it work? As you might have guessed, the loops are meant to be used to hang the t-shirts up. Some people think that locker loops got their start with US soldiers who used them to hang up their T-shirts on ships. They became common for guys to wear in the 1960s, especially on college campuses where they were seen as “preppy” clothes. Gant, a clothing company, is credited with making this button-down shirt popular on Ivy League campuses across the country.

Sweetness Overload: A 24-year-old man with over 100 tattoos gets rid of them all for his daughter’s sake.

One of the most well-known writers in Australia is Ethan Modboy Bramble. He’s 24 years old and can’t be missed on the street. He has a split tongue, changed ears, black eyes, enlarged nostrils, a sewn-in navel, and tattoos on 95% of his body, so even people who don’t care about him are drawn to him. The young man seemed to want to change his body in any way possible, probably because he had a huge mind and modern plastic surgery has a lot of options. Ethan and his wife had a girl, which caused a sudden change in his view of the world. That’s when the heiress showed up and woke up the blogger, making him look at his appearance more closely. He was determined to do everything that was needed to get his body back to how it was before, even though it would cost him a lot of money and cause him a lot of pain and suffering. What do you think about what this loving father did? Do you think he chose the best thing for his daughter?
